Documents You May Be Asked to Provide
9.1 Why we need documents
We can only negotiate effectively — and lawfully — if we know your exact position and can prove it to the creditor. We are also legally required to identify our clients before providing services (anti-money-laundering legislation of Bulgaria and the EU) and to hold your written authorisation before contacting any creditor on your behalf.
9.2 What we may ask for
| Category | Documents | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Identity (mandatory) | Passport or national ID; proof of address (utility bill or bank statement, under 3 months) | Legal identification of the client (AML law); creditor authorisation |
| Authority | Signed Power of Attorney / authorisation letter (template provided by us) | Allows us to communicate and negotiate with your creditors |
| Loan files | Loan agreements and amendments; recent statements; denouncement letters; assignment notifications; payment history | Establishing the exact claim, its legal status and any defects |
| Enforcement | Payment orders, seizure notices, auction notices, court documents | Assessing urgency and legal options |
| Income | Last 2–3 years’ tax returns (E1/ENFIA or Bulgarian equivalents), payslips or financial statements | Demonstrating repayment capacity to the creditor |
| Assets | Property titles, ENFIA declarations, vehicle registrations, bank balances | Building a realistic proposal; required by out-of-court mechanisms |
| Business clients | Company registration extract, financial statements (2–3 years), VAT returns, shareholder/manager IDs | Identification of the legal entity and its beneficial owners; financial analysis |
We only request documents that are necessary for your specific matter. We will tell you in writing which items apply to you.
9.3 How to submit documents securely
- Upload through your personal client area on the SolvX platform (encrypted connection, access by password and two-factor authentication).
- Do not send documents by ordinary email unless we have asked you to; if you must, use the password-protected upload link we provide.
- Original documents are never required to be sent by post unless a court procedure demands it; we will tell you if that is the case.
9.4 How your information is protected
Your documents are stored in encrypted form, accessible only to the professionals working on your file, and are used exclusively for your matter. Full details are on the Security & Confidentiality page and in our Privacy Policy. We never share your documents with a creditor without your prior written approval of exactly what is being shared.
